Apologies to Pickering

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

I am late in doing this but a while ago I wrote a letter to the Editor of news advertiser about the Stop the Stink issue. Someone then wrote a letter telling me off so to speak. Well upon reflection I will apologize, it is true, I don’t live there and can’t truly understand what they are going through.

I want to restate again that as the letter I wrote said- I had some questions, they were answered by the Pickering letter writer and I don’t know about you but sometimes I read letters to editor with a tone of voice in my head, this person I think took my words perhaps as sarcastic and it was not meant to be that way. Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

This excerpt from the below post I now have some answers to and I want to address some email I have received.

Yet again this shows citizens that no matter what they do or even when they do it, minds are made up?
Did phone calls take place between Whitby Staff and Ajax Staff disregarding what the public, if only a few had to say?
Did staff call the City of Sarnia before our final council meeting to find out the outcome ?

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

The meeting has just adjourned, I have been watching it on tv and I took a lot of notes but the main issue is the motion for the decision to pay Mr. Maurice Brenner’s Legal Fees that were the result of his being charged and acquitted of inappropriate and illegal activity in regards to expense accounts. Pickering Council– WOW

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

I went to the Community Affairs and Planning meeting tonight in Ajax and did not make it to the Pickering Council as I had wanted to catch some of it but I figured I would miss what I wanted to see so went home.

Their meeting is either replayed on TV or they have their meetings run till close to midnight?

However the big issue tonight was whether or not former Councillor Brenner’s legal fees would be paid for. Mr. Doug Dickerson made quite the speech and basically feels that the entire thing was to ruin Mr. Brenner for a mayoral campaign and Mr. Dickerson feels Mayor Ryan acted inappropriately.
