The Mayor’s law office is FINALLY painted on the outside!!!!!!!!!!
For years , not sure how many but I have driven past the Mayor’s law office and would cringe at the exterior and the peeling gray paint. When exterior’s of buildings are not maintained it just makes the whole area look a little run down.
I drove by the other day and could not believe my eyes! It is painted and looks so much better!
Nice Curb appeal , it’s about time. No this is not an important Ajax issue but I live in this neighbourhood and the office is one of the commercial buildings in this little stretch.

I have to disagree. I don’t like the new colour. That used to be a real estate office I believe. That whole area needs a makeover. I think they should tear down one house from each side and widen the street so that it looks like what we have going south of the 401 with trees in the middle.
Well you are entitled to your opinion on the colour of the building , as to the Lawyers status as a Lawyer , he is legally able to practice law if he wants to. He is retired in name only.
The area does need a makeover, I heard one time that a chunk of houses were offered money to sell to build a medical building or something but there was a holdout so it did not fly. I live further into the neighbourhood so any widening of Harwood would not directly affect me. There must have been some directive to clean up stuff because the parking lot where the Hasty Market and other stores is fixed up also, that was an awful potholed filled lot to navigate. Something is going to happen because there was a presentation to council regarding the area for redevelopment and a vision , the Mayor had to declare a conflict as he is one of the landowners of affected properties.
